With future technology at the forefront of Shukers' vision for 2011, the company is proud to announce the launch of the new ShukersParts website to augment the already incredibly popular Shukers.com online presence.
After months of studying analytical data, and with the trend of the consumer to buy online, Shukers realised the potential benefits of having a web storefront, not just for Land Rover but for all the marques available to the company.
Says Vernon Hogg, Managing Director: "Whilst going through our main website analytics, we noticed a lot of people searching for parts and merchandise who landed on our pages and were obviously disappointed that they couldn't find what they were looking for. Being a main Land Rover dealer, and now with Subaru as a major brand on our portfolio, we questioned our web team about the potential of an online shop.
"The decision was made to go ahead in early October. Our web experts, Pixelmakers, came up with a solid set of proposals and within two months the shop had been developed and populated with products, and is now live for customers to use. We're all very excited here, as the shop provides an outlet for parts, merchandise and special offers across our range of items from Land Rover, Subaru and our sister company BRM."
Although in it's infancy, the new web store, www.shukersparts.co.uk, is set to become a completely new facet of trading for Shukers. Neil Faulkner, parts manager at Shrewsbury says: "It's a fantastic opportunity for us to further interact with our customers. The parts and merchandise departments are always busy, but with an online shop the doors are open all day, every day.
"We've already had great success with our eBay shop, and because we understand the demands of our trade and retail customers alike, we've enlisted additional staff purely to look after the online shop itself. With a huge amount of parts and merchandise available across the three brands, we decided to split the shop into three distinct 'storefronts', Land Rover, Subaru and BRM. This makes it much easier to find exactly the item you're looking for, and with customer feedback we'll constantly be improving this service."
The online shop offers everything from a Subaru Keyring to larger items such as winches, gearboxes and more. And of course, with Shukers' commitment to the consumer, the store is designed to be super-friendly and safe.
Phil Jones, parts manager at Ludlow explains: "We worked closely with Chris at Pixelmakers to ensure he'd got a grasp of exactly where we wanted to go with this. Chris gave us his insights and benefit of his knowledge of online trading, and between us we filled in all the gaps to arrive at what we believe is a great new opportunity for the parts departments both here at Ludlow and in Shrewsbury. And with the backing of RBS WorldPay payments being handled securely, our customers can rest easy that they can trade with Shukers online with safety."
And it doesn't just stop there: With great offers available, and exclusive discounts for Shukers' Trade Club customers, the online store is set to break the mould for car dealership online trading.
