A successful first golf surgery has been held in the showroom of Ludlow’s Land Rover dealership.
As many as15 members of Ludlow Golf Cub booked quarter of an hour slots throughout the day with assistant professional Dan Francis to have their swing analysed on camera at Shukers Land Rover in Lingen Road.
And the golfers all came away happy with the free advice they had been given in the warm showroom surroundings on yet another white-over winter’s day (last Saturday).
“From Shukers and the golf club’s point of view it was a most successful ‘first’ for us both,” said organiser Nick Apperley, a sales executive at the dealership and a member of the club.
“The golf surgery not only helped members of the club to improve their swing, under Dan’s expert advice and analytical appraisal through his camera and computer, but it assisted us to get our message across that we are South Shropshire and North Herefordshire Land Rover dealer.
“We hope to repeat the golf surgery for our customers in the spring,” he added.
A bonus for Nick, who has liaised closely with Ludlow Golf Club over several weeks to set up the golf surgery, was selling a new Land Rover on the day.
A pitching competition in the showroom was supported by the golfers attending the surgery to raise money for Ludlow Hospital.
