New company opens in Shrewsbury

Shukers.com which ~~opens early July~~ is now open on the A49 at Bayston Hill is a subsidiary of Shukers Land Rover, Shropshire’s authorised Land Rover franchise.

The new company specialises in selling non-franchise prestige cars and sports models in a price bracket from £5,000-£50,000. The person appointed to run the new business is Andrew Hamilton-Gray who has just completed a masters degree at Loughborough University.

Andrew, 33, whose degree was in strategic automotive dealership management, has 10 years’ experience in the motor trade, joining Shukers.com from a Ferrari main dealership.

He said: “These are exciting times with the long established Shukers name now being associated with other prestige brands such as Porche, Mercedes, and Audi.

“Shukers has built a reputation for quality and service, and now, sales will still be made the traditional way, with an exciting new facility available online.

“We have a wonderful showroom which has been completely renovated as part of a significant investment. The showroom can display up to 20 used vehicles at any one time, and there is substantial room for expansion over the next 12 months.”

Andrew will be joined by another sales person later in the month and will have back-up from Shukers main dealership in Battlefield Road, Harlescott, where the stock of used cars will be prepared.

“Shukers.com is an exciting new venture for Shukers. It marks the beginning of a transition of selling from the forecourt and internet simultaneously. All vehicles at the Bayston Hill site will be available to view on our main website, www.shukers.com

This offers great benefits such as RAC 12 month warranty, full vehicle inspection, service, up to 12 months MOT, valet and detailing. The online viewer can rest assured that the vehicles they see are as good in the flesh as they are on the website”.

Andrew also explains: "With the strong recognition of the Shukers brand, along with the strong relationships and trust from the current Shukers customer base, we are confident that Shukers.com will mark a milestone in high-quality used car sales".

He added that the location of Shukers.com at the junction of Lyth Hill Road with the A49 is expected to attract a lot of passing trade as well as people who lived locally.

Says Andrew: "The site has in the past been used by the motor industry, both the location and exposure are excellent. The new Shukers website, Shukers.com will also be a showcase for '21st Century Trading' from a technology perspective: Customers will be able to view vehicles online in our Virtual Forecourt, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Not only that, but customers will be able to make online deposits to secure the vehicles--including valuation of vehicles for part exchange--all from their computer."
