New model exceeds expectations

The Shrewsbury and Ludlow dealerships of Shukers Land Rover enjoyed a busy public launch of their 2010 models.
Shukers managing director Vernon Hogg was at the Ludlow dealership for the opening of their launch which saw a flurry of early sales activity.
Then he drove to the Shrewsbury launch which was experiencing similar trade.
“It has been a very good public launch at both dealerships,” said Vernon. “I am delighted with the amount of interest in the new model range which bodes well for future sales.
“Interest in all three new models, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Discovery 4 has exceeded our expectations,” he added.
Among the visitors to the Shrewsbury launch were the Davidson family of Priorslee, Telford. The have been Land Rover customers for many years.
Alison Davidson spent over six years of her career on service reception in the motor trade, including a Land Rover dealership.
She and husband Graham, who is in the aerospace manufacturing industry, said they were most impressed with new Discovery 4.
“That will now be my target,” said Graham, who attended the event with his wife and children Emma and James.
