A man who has been selling Land Rover vehicles for 20 years is among five staff at a Shropshire dealership to gain a prestigious skills award.
Adrian Lenc has been at Shukers Land Rover, Shrewsbury, for the past 11 years and was promoted to corporate manager earlier in 2009.
Adrian, together with Julian Capewell-Hughes, assistant parts manager, John Barker, parts advisor and Simon Mantell and Paul Heavens, service advisors, have all proved their ‘Excellence in Skills’ at Level 2 in a Land Rover training and development programme.
They have each gained their Level 1 Excellence following a competency course and have now gone on to complete the higher Level 2 which involved on-line computer courses and a rigorous one-to-one assessment from a motor industry recognised assessor.
“As an Institute of the Motor Industry accreditation, it recognises and rewards personal achievement,” said Vernon Hogg, managing director.
“The award is helping individual members of staff to achieve their personal development goals through a structured approach to learning,” he added.
