Shukers links with Ludlow Golf Club

Shuker's Ludlow dealership is forging close links with the town’s golf club, including a car sponsorship.

In what they hope will become a long term relationship, Shukers Land Rover is supplying a Freelander to Ludlow Golf Club assistant professional Dan Francis.

The car sponsorship begins a new association between the golf club and Shukers which has a corporate membership that it would like to further develop.

Said Mark Clarke, sales manager at the Shukers Ludlow dealership: “We think there is a great deal of potential for both organisations who are keen to work more closely together to expand their respective interests.

“Nick Apperley, one of our long established sales executives, is a member of Ludlow Golf Club committee with a single figure handicap and he will liaise with the professionals and officials to organise joint promotions.

“We are currently discussing a number of initiatives which will be new to a motor dealership and a golf club. One facet of us teaming up is to benefit from reciprocal arrangements such as a golf clinic at the dealership.

“The golf club and ourselves are also looking at the possibility of links between our respective web sites, our sponsorship of tournaments and special golf days.

“These are exciting times for ourselves and the golf club,” he added.

Dan Francis said he was in search of a car when the Shukers sponsorship deal came along. He said that over a full season the car would be widely seen throughout the county and further afield.

He said he would be travelling to tournament venues all over the Midlands as well as taking part in regional pro-ams. He was also keen to help Shukers’ customers with their game at a golf clinic at the dealership in the New Year.
