Subaru showroom opens its doors

The new Shukers Subaru dealership on Lingen Road, Ludlow

The new Shropshire and Herefordshire Subaru dealership officially opened its showroom doors in Ludlow on March 28.

Situated on the same Lingen Road site as Shukers Land Rover, the brand new Subaru franchise is expected to provide another popular and successful motor dealership serving parts of Shropshire, the whole of Herefordshire and some of Mid and North Wales.

Subaru has welcomed the return of its brand to the area after an absence of more than a decade and is wishing Shukers every success in the future.

The purpose-built four car showroom provides a welcoming and informative environment, and has been completed in less than three months. With customer's comfort paramount, the well-lit and air conditioned showroom feels spacious and relaxing.

“We are looking forward to welcoming existing as well as potential new Subaru customers to the showroom of which we are very proud,” said sales manager Nick Apperley.

“We think it offers a fabulous environment in which to view our four showroom cars, the Outback, WRX STI, Forester and Legacy, which we are hoping will attract customers from all over our new Subaru territory which extends across Shropshire, Herefordshire and a great deal of Wales.

“We believe that Subaru will appeal to many ‘lifestyle’ conscious customers including those interested in country pursuits and touring.

“We have a range to suit most tastes and can offer four demonstrators, petrol and diesel Outback, diesel Legacy and diesel Forester, for customers to test drive.

“Prior to opening our showroom, we registered seven Subaru’s in March and have already sold three – an Outback, Legacy and Forester.”

Over the coming days more than 3,000 potential customers will be emailed with details of the range including a letter personally signed by Nick Apperley in his new role as sales manager.

Said Nick, who has worked for Shukers for 15 years: “We are not only offering sales from our new Subaru showroom, but we are open for service and parts in our existing workshops at Lingen Road.

“Our service and parts personnel have been fully trained for some time and are already up to speed with providing customers needing these facilities.

“Customers are already experiencing the expert service we can provide through the parts and servicing departments on-site, which complements our already well established Land Rover franchise.”

The showroom is being manned by Nick, his wife Sian on reception, and newly appointed Subaru sales specialist Bryn Alford.

The sales team is currently preparing a Subaru used car display at the front of the new showroom. Subaru cars offered for sale on site will carry a 12 month Subaru proven warranty.

And the first major event to be supported by the new Shukers Subaru dealership will be the Bitterley Point-to-Point on April 17. The dealership will have four demonstrators on display in a new Subaru stand at the race meeting.
