Team gains prestigious award

Six members of the Shukers Land Rover team at Ludlow have gained a prestigious skills award.

The six, Nick Apperley and Joe Barney (sales), Mike Richardson and Dave Greenan (service) and Gary Adams and Dave Roberts (parts) have proved their ‘Excellence in Skills’ at Level 2 in a Land Rover training and development programme.

Every member of the Shukers Ludlow team has gained their Level 1 Excellence following a competency course and the above have gone on to complete the higher Level 2.

Service was the first department to be given the opportunity of gaining the accreditation with sales, parts and service reception more recently following on.

Level 2 has involved on-line computer courses and a rigorous one-to-one assessment from a motor industry recognised assessor. For sales, the assessment covered all aspects from making a customer appointment to signing the order for a sale.

“As an Institute of the Motor Industry accreditation, it recognises and rewards personal achievement. The award is helping individual members of staff to achieve their personal development goals through a structured approach to learning”, Mark Clarke Sales Manager added.
