The weather has resulted in an upsurge in New Year sales of both new and used Land Rovers, Shropshire’s Land Rover dealership has announced.
The inclement conditions has further heightened awareness of the benefits of a 4x4, say Shropshire dealership Shukers Land Rover which has branches in Shrewsbury and Ludlow.
Said Shukers sales manager in Shrewsbury, Tony Macera: “We have been waking up each morning to snow and ice and seeing on television the emergency services as well as the highways agency using Land Rover vehicles.
“This has subsequently triggered a lot of interest in 4x4 and unquestionably new customers have been calling the two dealerships about the availability of either a new or used Land Rover to cope with the conditions.
“With another two months of unpredictable weather, we expect a growing number of people with the need to have a good all-rounder, whether for people carrying or for towing, to be contacting the dealerships.
“As a result of the weather we have received an unprecedented number of enquiries for new Land Rovers right across the model range. Interest has really shot up since the turn of the year and we are taking orders for both new and quality used models.
“We are seeing an upsurge in sales for immediate delivery and in the main we can supply ex-stock. We also have access to Land Rover ex-management vehicles which have the manufacturer’s warranty.
“All these vehicles are pre-checked before they arrive at the dealership and we are not limited to the number of vehicles passers-by see on the forecourt – we ask anyone interested to contact us using the website for more vehicles to view.
“The website has the very latest finance deals and after-sales details. In fact, everything anyone wants to know about owning a Land Rover is on the website,” Tony added.
